We had a disappointing result at Lincoln although Aubrey Bristow’s set had a good game.
But Long Sutton’s visit to Sleaford on 13th March proved a far better result, winning 98 – 79
D Stobart, with R Barnes, T Thackray and L Davies produced some stunning ends and ran out clear winners 21 – 11.
A Bristow’s set of G Chamberlain, K Dye and R Pearson came from behind with 5 and a 3 in a close game to run out winners 18 – 17.
M Wareham, with P Lowder, C Grosse and B Cooper were also behind for much of the game, but came back strongly and were unlucky to just lose out 17 – 19.
T Stanley’s set of D Hocking, J Thomas and G Johnson got off to a strong start and continued to score freely to a magnificent win 23 – 12.
S Elliott, with R Workman, T Harding and B Sach were just off the pace against an in-form team and lost out 16 – 20 in spite of a spirited effort that included a 7 than so nearly got a win.

Wevisited Horncastle on 14th February and managed a good win 109 – 84 – and another precious 16 points.
A Bristow’s set of G Chamberlain, K Dye and R Pearson ran out easy winners at 24 – 11.
T Stanley, with P Annison, D Hocking and B Coyne were up against a strong side but kept in touch until the last 6 ends during which they dropped 12 without managing a reply and lost out 11 – 25.
D Stobart, with R Barnes, P Bacon and L Davies were well in command until the last part where they dropped 8 shots, but still ran out winners at 24 – 16.
D Chandley’s set of R Workman, T Harding and B Sach stormed to an 11 – 0 start, dropped a 7 and a 5 and then came back strongly to take the rink 26 – 21.
M Wareham’s set of P Lowder, C Grosse and J Thomas were in command from the start and ran out clear winners at 24 – 11.

December 12th saw the Team host Grantham and post another win 114 – 81.
D Stobart, with R Barnes, P Bacon and L Davies looked likely winners on 18 – 7 after 14 ends before the wheels came off their wagon! 15 shots to Grantham without reply meant a disappointing resuly 19 – 22.
M Wareham’s set of J Baker, C Faria and P Lowder were in a tight game but could never quite get away and were unlucky to lose 19 – 22.
A Bristow, with his set of G Chamberlain, C Grosse and R Pearson wer in control; from the start to mid-way at 13 – 1 to the end to post an impressive win 24 – 12.
T Stanley, with P Annison, K Dye and G Johnson were even more impressive leading 29 – 5 with 5 to go before seeming to relax a little but eventually won 29 – 12.
D Chandley’s set of R Workman, T Harding and B Sach took an early lead and continued to score consistently with good woods in the head to run out winners at 23 – 13.

A visit to the seaside at Skegness proved to be an enjoyable day out!
D Chandley and his set of R Workman, T Harding and B Sach were masterful especially in mid-game where they scored 16 without reply to run out convincing winners 26 – 8.
D Stobart, with R Barnes, P Bacon and L Davies kept their noses in front all the way in a tight game and finsihed with a creditable 15 – 12.
A Bristow’s set of G Chamberlain, C Grosse and R Pearson took an early lead before dropping 10 without reply but came back to hold out for a draw at 18 – 18.
T Stanley with his set of P Annison, P Lowder and G Johnson powered their way, seemingly scoring freely (including a 6), to run out easy winners 31 – 11.
M Wareham, with J Baker, D Hocking and C Faria took an early lead then struggled to put enough woods in the head – then had a 6 and a 4 but just lost out 22 – 25.
15 points were enough to hold on to 2nd place.

A visit to Stamford proved profitable with 14 points gained to remain in second spot.
G Johnson and his set of P Annison, D Hocking and B Coyne had the better of a close game and won 19 – 17.
M Wareham, with T Thackray, J Thomas and B Cooper went behind early on and never really recovered to lose out 18 – 24 in spite of a late rally.
C Bradley’s set of R Workman, T Harding and B Sach looked doomed at the 14th end being 11 shots down but were made of true grit and scored 14 without reply to take a well-deserved win 19 – 18.
A Bristow, with G Chamberlain, B Gilbert and R Pearson were unable to find a consistent length and lost out 20 – 28.
D Stobart, with R Barnes, P Bacon and L Davies scored heavily and consistently to take a magnificent win 35 – 11.

The Over 60′s travelled to the seaside at Skegness but did not manage to frolic on the beach as they lost 93 – 107.
D Chandley’s set of R Workman, T Harding and B Sach were the only winning rink with a late surge to overtake their opponents and win 22 – 19.
M Wareham with J Baker, T Thackray and J Thomas worked hard in the second half and were unlucky to lose out by 16 – 15.
T Stanley’s set of P Annison, K Dye and B Ellison came from behind only to fail to keep the momentum going and lost 14 – 27.
A Bristow with P Fox, C Grosse and R Pearson kept it tight for the whole game but never quite managed to get their noses in front and lost out 20 – 23.
D Stobart with R Barnes, P Bacon and L Davies had a torrid start, then an excellent last eight ends, scoring 16 without reply to record a well-deserved draw at 22 – 22.

Next up were the mighty Lincoln who managed just one rink win to give us an overall winning margin 106 – 88.
T Stanley’s set of P Annison, K Dye and G Johnson took an early lead, lost it, came back with an imperious 5 and then stormed through a glorious second half to win 33 – 17.
M Wareham, with J Baker, J Thomas and B Cooper were involved in a tight game with nothing in it apart from three consecutive ends where they dropped a 4, a 1 and a 3 that eventually cost the game 14 – 19.
A Bristow, with G Chamberlain, C Grosse and R Pearson kept an early lead until the 15th end when they dropped a 3 and a 4, but came back strongly, scoring 9 without reply to record a deserved 20 – 18 win.
D Chandley’s set of R Workman, T Harding and B Sach were involved in a game where all looked lost at the 14th end where they were 7 – 18 down. But they were made of far sterner stuff and scored 15 without reply to post a grandiose win 22 – 18. Never say die!
D Stobart, with C Faria, P Bacon and L Davies showed similar determination in a game where they were behind for much of the time but found a reserve towards the end with 7 shots to take them into the lead, lose it again and then post a 2 to take the game 17 – 16.
All in all, this was a shining example to any aspiring bowler

D Chandley, with R Workman, T Harding and B Ellison set the pace with a masterful display running out clear winners 30 – 11.
T Stanley’s set of P Annison, K Dye and G Johnson had a close game where the lead changed hands and each side had a clear lead, but emerged triumphant at 23 – 22.
M Wareham, with his set of J Baker, J Thomas and B Sach set off at a great pace and were 13 ahead on the 16th, then dropped 9 shots, scored a 5 and won 27 – 17!
A Bristow’s set of G Chamberlaine, C Grosse and B Cooper came from behind to clinch a good win 26 – 18.
D Stobart, with C Faria, K Searle and L Davies kept ahead in a close game and ran out winners at 22 – 19.

The first game of the new season saw a close game against Louth at Sleaford, with Sleaford just losing 92 – 99.
D Chandley and his set of R Workman, T Thackray and T Harding kept ahead until dropping a six in the 16th end and did not recover to go down 15 – 24.
D Stobart, with C Faria, P Bacon and L Davies dropped an eight early on and failed to make amends mid-game to lose out 13 – 25.
A Bristow’s set of G Chamberlain, C Grosse and R Pearson had the better of a close game running out winners at 19 – 18.
M Wareham, with J Baker, J Thomas and D Barr also had a close finish after leading by ten shots on the 13th end and held on to win 22 – 19.
T Stanley, with P Annison, K Dye and G Johnson took a commanding lead and never looked in danger, running out clear winners at 23 – 13.
