A-Team v Horncastle (Away)

Sleaford were away at Horncastle on Saturday 8th November and recorded a resounding win by 131 shots to Horncastle's 75.

A Bristow and his set of R Barnes, B Briggs and F Collin set the standard with a handsome 43 - 11 win. Club Captain A Watts and his team of D Rogers, T Curran and B Millington followed closely with 27 - 9; D Chandley with P Asher, S Elliott and R Pointon did well to win 25 - 17; T Bannister and his rink of D Bell, T Hudson and C Bradley triumphed 22 - 19. R Musson - aided by T Stanley, J White and G Johnston were the unlucky ones losing 14 - 19 after a brief come-back in the last 3 ends.

After having beaten Stamford in the previous Round, Sleaford were unlucky to lose a tight match to Grantham. The Sleaford team had led for most of the first 21 ends but one rink was unfortunate to drop a six on the last end. This gave Grantham the shock result by 81 to 79.

A Bristow and R Musson led their respective rinks to good wins: 23-18 and 21-17 respectively. T Bannister's rink held on to lose by just one shot on the last end while D Chandley went down 17-27.
